I’ve spent a little bit of time in San Francisco and I love the place – there is a lot of weirdos but if you can’t be comfortable in your own skin in San Fran I don’t think there is anywhere else in the world you can be.

I have some old friends who live in Lower Haight which 2 blocks from the Castro (which is the gayest neighbourhood in the gayest city on the planet).  It is a fun place because unlike the waterfront there aren’t many tourists.  As for the nightlife, if you can find gay sex in the Castro…. then you aren’t in the Castro.

Here is a post that was on the forum (www.SpeedoForum.org) recently which I thought was interesting.  I’ve never been in San Fran when it was warm enough to get down to this beach but it definitely sounds like fun.  The guy who submitted this is OznSpeedoBoy – a 20-something year old asian boy who loves speedos.

Recently drove down from North Bay to Marshall’s Beach in San Francisco for the first time during a heat wave (100+ degrees fahrenheit!)… and ran into a plethora of men in speedos and exhibitionist swimwear… with loads of these men partaking in public action!

Marshall’s Beach is located at the base of the Golden Gate bridge and is known as the beach where all the gay men (and nudists) flock to during the rare hot days. To get to where most of the speedo-wearers are, one has to walk past a small batch of rocks. Once there… speedo heaven!

The beach was packed, with loads of men in speedos sunbathing and generally partying at the beach. After walking past what seems to be a 100 (or 200!) speedo-clad men, I start to reach the nudist section of the beach. As it was my first time here, curiosity got the best of me and told me to walk to the very end of the beach past these giant rocks–where I found myself in the middle of hordes of men doing the dirty! As hot as that was (literally and figuratively), I definitely felt out of place as I was still dressed in my track singlet and basketball shorts, so I left the area and began to search for a place to claim in the sands of the nudist area.

After 10 or so minutes, finally got a spot to myself–laid down my beach blanket and stripped my clothes to reveal my 1-inch sided red swim brief. Perfect for getting my speedo tan on! Got my tanning oil out and slathered my body with it and got to tanning! The plus side: got to enjoy the view of loads of men just enjoying the weather (or each other) while in speedos and their birthday suits! Even got approached by a few handsome speedo-clad fellows complimenting my suit, and later, inviting me to hang out alongside them and their speedos!

Definitely one of the hottest moments of the summer! Would love to hear if anyone else has similar stories at the beach (speedo friendly, nudist, etc) to share? 

Holy cow it has been 8 days since I last posted on here, that has to be a record since I started this blog back in May 2005.

Thank you for the emails of concern… I did have to head up to the Gold Coast for a family funeral and spent a few days up there but the main restraint on my blog posting has been a huge server upgrade which has had Kip and I working a lot more than usual and I think we both work a fair bit to start with.

All day today (like 14 hours) I have been working on the Speedo Forum.  I’ve been wanting to update the forum for a while and the server change over gave me the opportunity although it has been a bunch of work.  If you haven’t seen it check it out www.SpeedoForum.org.  It is a great bunch of guys and I think the updates are really awesome.  To be honest I’m proud of the work that Kip and I did on it.

Firstly, has anyone ever seen these Aussie flag speedos before?  I haven’t but I like them…. I also like the body that they are on.

Secondly, AussieBum had a sale the other week and I thought about buying these.  I’m not a fan of the AussieBum lycra speedos, they just never seem to fit quite right but these look pretty darn hot.  Unfortunately, they are out of stock so I didn’t get any.  If anyone from AussieBum is reading this and would like to send me a pair, that would be very nice.

OK, I think I’m going to pour myself a bourbon and coke and let my eyes readjust after a long day in front of the screen.

I do have an update for you guys on the Married Guy (aka Tony), but it is Thong Thursday so you guys are going to have to wait until tomorrow to find out the latest development.

Who can’t love the confidence of these two guys walking down the beach wearing thongs – I’m assuming this photo hasn’t been doctored/photoshopped, I do hate whoever it is out there who edits speedo photos to make the speedos look ridiculously small.

Over on the Speedo Forum there has been some guys posting in the new Thong Discussion Board which has been good. My favourite post thus far was discussing ‘Your First Thong’ and one guys contribution was pretty hot…..

I bought my first thong when I was 19 when my wife (then girlfriend) and I went on our first beach getaway. I ordered an N2N cotton thong. I was going to surprise her with it our first night. Having never worn a thong prior, I figured I could put it on and not expect it to stay on too long. I forget how exactly but she found it prior to us leaving in the morning. She was excited to see me in it so she had me put it on. She loved the way I looked in it so she had me wear it all day. It felt great and I was hooked. It also helped that it turned her on too. Now I wear thongs as my first choice in underwear.

When a girl loves seeing a guy in a speedo it is a turn on for me, I can barely dream of a girl who liked something skimpier than a speedo!!!

I saw this on the Twitter the other day, guys posting a Thong Thursday and I thought it would be a great idea.

Since I love wearing speedos in the pool and at the beach, I’m not really much of a thong guy for practical reasons but when wore correctly, they look fantastic.

Someone over on the SpeedoForum.org posted pics of some Police Speedos that he recently purchased.

I hear there has been some police trouble over in the US, just imagine if cops wore these, I’m sure people would be much nicer to them.

When I was in high school one of my mates wore a Queensland Police Uniform shirt out on the Gold Coast and a cop stopped him and told him to take it off, impersonating an officer was the reasoning, not that my drunk, 18yo friend with board shorts and an oversized, untucked police shirt looked anything like a police officer.

I wonder if wearing these speedos would be considered ‘Impersonating a Police Officer’?
